I have heard you are doing Trampette. Is this correct?
Yes, for 2021 we have added this exciting discipline which opens up V-Tramp to all gymnastics and team gym clubs across the world.
Do I compete against everyone in the world?
Yes and No. V-Tramp has up to 5 ability levels. You enter the ability level you feel is most appropriate for you. Once you have submitted your videos, you will be judged against everyone that has entered in the same age group and ability level as you.
Is it right that trampette streams, disabilities and synchronised trampoline events are free to enter?
Yes. Disabilities events for V-Tramp are now free of charge.
For trampette streams, providing performers have entered an individual trampette event the entry will be free of charge.
For synchronised trampolining, gymnasts who have entered at least one of the individual events are eligible for a free entry into the synchronised trampoline event. Both members of the pair must be entered into the individual event and a gymnast may only enter the synchronised event once.
Can I enter synchronised trampoline with someone not in my club?
Yes. It is possible to enter the synchronised trampoline event with a gymnast from another club providing that both have entered an individual event. You have to create a new club on the entry portal with a mixture of the club names. Follow the guidance document on how to do this.
Why are the rules for synchro different from a normal competition?
The V-Tramp team wanted to test out the proposed rules for the next Olympic cycle to bring a little variation and excitement to the event.
Can my synchronised trampoline partner be a different gender?
Yes. You may partner with someone of a different gender but your competition attire must be of a similar style and colour.
Can I represent more than one club in V-Tramp?
You can represent more than one club providing that you do not enter the same category, for example you can represent Club A in the age group trampoline and Club B in the trampoline V-Open event. You may also represent Club A for trampoline and Club B for tumbling.
Can countries enter V-Tramp?
V-Tramp is open to everyone. Countries can enter V-Tramp but must enter as a club and must follow the same entry portal as a club. We would suggest that countries only enter the V-Open categories.
Can I enter the same group more than once?
A gymnast may only enter one age group event per discipline. A gymnast 15 years of age or over may also enter the V-Open category.
If I want to enter but my club has not long returned to training and I’m low on training, can I compete at a lower level than usual?
We encourage clubs to be ethical when entering and enter gymnasts at their current competitive level. If you need to reduce your level due to lack of training you may do so.
Can clubs combine together to have a chance in the V-Tramp ‘All Around’ team event?
V-Tramp encourages clubs to pitch themselves against other clubs but yes, a club may combine with another. We recommend this only where a club cannot provide a discipline, e.g. a trampoline club may combine with a tumbling club, if the trampoline club does not have tumbling provision and vice versa.
Can I compete on my garden trampoline?
No. Unfortunately we will not accept entries from any equipment that does not meet the FIG apparatus norms. If the piece of equipment you are using does meet these norms then you can submit an entry but you must be competing indoors and under the supervision of a qualified instructor.
